Implants are artificial tooth roots made of titanium, the most biocompatible material for our bones. Implants are the best choice whether replacing a lost tooth completely, preventing the bone loss which inevitably follows the loss of a tooth, or stabilising any sort of tooth replacement. Depending on the individual situation, the bone heals around the implant in 6 – 12 weeks, holding it tight, thus enabling a permanent, stable and aesthetic foundation for crowns and prostheses. Financially, too, implants are an attractive long-term alternative to other teeth replacement techniques. Implantology makes use of the most modern diagnostic and operative techniques and is gentle on soft tissue and bone. This makes it an effective and patient-friendly therapy. Treatment is almost always painless using a local anaesthetic; full anaesthetic can however be used if desired. A success rate of over 95% proves that constantly updating knowledge, experience and quality control counts. This is further demonstrated by the awardance of the title “Tätigkeitsschwerpunkt Implantologie” (“Implantology Expert”) from the German Association of Oral Implantology – and by our patients’ satisfaction!
